Staying in apartheid Bantu rotten slums like pigs;
Squeezed into deadly minibuses to work like chickens;
Sniffing dustbins for a decent meal like scavengers;
Cheaply exploited in factories like slaves;
Working under hazardous conditions as if we are mosquitoes;
Shouting for our weekly wages like barking dogs;
Spewing derogatory names to my fellow workers as if we are not from a women’s womb;
Strip-searching us naked after work as if we are carrying a bomb;
We eat chicken feet for lunch, whilst you and your fellow’s enjoy a roasted lamb;
Enjoying fun with family at luxurious hotels;
Whilst our families shack of 17 years are hopeless;
Coming to work in designer wear like fashionistas;
We have to endure the pain of wearing greasy smelly clothes like hobos;
You have the luxury at your air-conditioned office to read a newspaper over a cup of Irish coffee;
Whilst our adorable mothers are forced to drink urine;
You are celebrated for living a better life in opulent Sandton;
We have to scramble for crumbs with my neighbors goats in impecunious Standerton;
You flatter your white wealth and reckless consumption with pride;
We despise Capitalist greed and barbarity with rage!
