Defeat US machinations against Cuba

The Communist Party of Brazil condemns vigorously US machinations against Cuba that are consubstantiate in one more resolution project condemning the fraternal country on the UN Commission of the Human Rights, which 61st session is held these days in Geneva.

The US proposal use worn arguments, a tedious talk repeated to exhaustion every year. These arguments pass over the sincere efforts of Cuban government to promote the human rights in all fields and the co-operation that Cuba is developing with the UN at sphere of the UN Commission of the Human Rights and all other ambits.

US government has no credential to criticize whatever State in relation to the human rights subject. Nowadays, US government is exactly the major aggressor of the human rights around the world by means civilian populations massacres in countries invaded by US troops and also by torture inflicted of war prisoners. The aim of US government presenting a resolution project against Cuba is strictly a political one, a pretext to justify its hostile politics that concretize itself for more than fours decades, through the economic, commercial and financial blockage besides endless provocative acts. The resolution project in discussion at the UN Commission of the Human Rights is also a toll to justify the aggressive acts that George W. Bush administration wildly prepares. The decision to beat Cuba, to defeat its Revolution and to replace the popular government by a reactionary and pro-USA administration is a part of documents approved by Bush in May 6th, 2004. These documents create a so-called 'Commission to Assistance a Free Cuba', in which political, administrative and economic measures are announced to after the change of the Cuban regime.

While condemning such machination, the Communist Party of Brazil PCdoB, expressing the best friendship and solidarity feelings from Brazilian people to Cuban people, as well as the internationalist co-operation from those are struggling in our country by socialism, by the Cuban Revolution and its leadership force. The PCdoB manifests its expectation of the Brazilian government position when pronounce its vote at Commission be clearly against the resolution project presented by USA..
