The rain woke me this morning
The Southern sky opened, pouring
Out all she had, thunder roaring
It's own accompanying catharsis
No tender rain this morning
But a full blown raging rain
Intent on emptying the sky
Of its burden too heavy to carry any longer.
What if we could do that
Angrily flush all that which keeps us from being stronger
Cleanse our collective selves of that we cannot carry
Corruption, non-caring capitalism, condemnation
Condemnation of the other who is really us
What if with one angry morning we wash our heavens free
Of all that stands between
You and me and all those who are indeed we
