THE SOUTH AFRICAN ROAD TO SOCIALISM -- Draft Program

sacp

Please follow this link to the recently published Draft Program of the South African Communist Party. The document develops new, well researched, and thoughtful analysis. It includes principles worth of consideration for strategy and tactics in the US:

1. Socialism as a transitional,  mixed economy on the path to a classless communist society,  in which the working class and democratic forces lead society rather than monopoly forces.

2. The unity of socialist ideals and practice with the fulfillment of the democratic revolution.

3. Management of alliances in the democratic struggle.

We recommend its careful study.

  • I have read South African Road to Socialism it's an interesting document and it comprises of the most challenges of the working class. There are three most interesting chapters to me and the first one being "The battle of ideas, secondly 'SACP and the work place and lastly Economic transformation" But the party's critique of capitalism is temporal because now it wants to enhance capitalism. But nonetheless NDR is not the most direct route to socialism in South African context and based on the working class material conditions.
