As the Christie scandals continue, this outrageous act is getting no coverage in "mainstream media." While Christie is being investigated for using Port Authority henchman to close lanes on the George Washington Bridge, creating a four day traffic nightmare, and also using threats to deny Hurricane Sandy funds to mayors who refused to rubber stamp his development projects, among many other abuses, He and his subordinate have refused to enforce a wage increase for low wage Port Authority workers which New York has instituted.
Below is a petition from one of those workers, a Newark baggage handler who earns $8.25 an hour for difficult and strenuous and socially necessary labor, the sort of work Christie himself could never do. The petition speaks for itself. I urge our readers to support it

Norman --
My name is Demetrius DeBaise, and for the last five years I’ve worked as a baggage handler at Newark International. Every day I lift overweight bags for hours on end and help panicked passengers make their flights, all for just $8.25 an hour. The stress of trying to provide for my family on so little income has nearly broken me.
And now, Governor Chris Christie and his cronies in the Port Authority just blocked my raise.
Thank you,
Demetrius DeBaise
