Clinton's poll numbers plunge.

Clinton Crashing? by Thomas Riggins

According to reports in The New York Times and the CNN/ORC polls (just out)-- Clinton's new figures among registered voters puts her  ahead of Bernie Sanders but in a dead heat with the top Republican candidates. Here is what today's NYT  says:

"When Mrs. Clinton is pitted against each of the top three Republican candidates, Ben Carson, the retired neurosurgeon, leads 51 percent to 46 percent among registered voters; Jeb Bush leads 49 percent to 47 percent; and she and Donald J. Trump, who is leading most polls of the Republican field, are tied at 48 percent. All of those numbers are within the margin of sampling error."

This country is in big trouble when the likes of Ben Carson and Donald Trump have a real shot at becoming the next POTUS! Another Bush is bad enough, but at least he is not certifiable.

These are early polls and don't take into consideration the fact that the Left and the Unions are going to be registering large numbers of new voters and actively promoting progressive ideas that will hopefully sweep this temporary Republican surge (Trump is now leading the Republicans with 32% support ) into history's overflowing dust bin.

A positive note: Bernie Sanders is now in a dead heat with Clinton in IOWA and NEW HAMPSHIRE and only 10 points behind with Democrats nationally.  As for the CPUSA: Now is the time for all good men (and women) to come to the aid of their party.

  • P. S.
Secretary Clinton, has, as the windows of PA have revealed, shown her wedding with Wall Street (and her racist actions toward socialist Vietnam)demonstrated that she is allied with the racist, misogynist, monopoly capital and imperialist forces of bloody, warmongering reaction.
Her funding and her airs are self-evident-maybe the Communists can make a positive spin on this, somehow?
Even this transparent arrogance, the arrogance of imperialism, CIA, NSA, and NATO can and will bow to the power of the united working class, in the multifarious issues of these elections.

  • Wish the short piece would've wrote more on"..to come to the aid of their party".
What the needs are is to move with equality, jobs, income, voting, pro-women, Black, Latino, union, immigrant, peace and public ownership and control efforts, as the elections and campaigns define them.
Bernie Sanders needs to continue to make a connection between domestic and foreign economic policies (his position on TPPA is a good start), and how the color line largely defines them-even a century after the great Communist, W. E. B. Du Bois, coined this racist relationship.
In millions and billions of ways, reality is offering ways in which Communists can explain and demonstrate helpful leadership in both thinking and action.
We need to aid sundry movements for justice, righteousness, peace, progress and material public wherewithal, for the peoples movements in this election period.
