USA: T-Mobile continues to advertise for jobs with union avoidance in description!

12-13-05,9:14am

UNI has this morning found another five adverts by T-Mobile USA with their continual anti-union policy of seeking workers that assist in union avoidance.

Although all the other articles have been removed, it seems that UNI are having to write to Deutsche Telekom over the same issue on almost a daily basis.

It is simple, T-Mobile USA should never think or even use these kind of words.

Another letter has been sent to Dr Klinkhammer and Mr Ricke at Deutsche Telekom to have the adverts removed.

A copy of this letter is below.

Dear Dr Klinkhammer,

T-Mobile USA Job Advert

Further my letter dated 9th December 2005, where we informed that we found another offending advertisement, which we have noticed has been removed from the website.

However, upon our monitoring of the website, five new advertisements have appeared on the website at https://tmobile.recruitmax.com/ENG

105074 – Human Resources Generalist – Frisco, Texas 105196 – Manager, CC Human Resources, Frisco, Texas 96747 - Manager, CC Human Resources, Colorado Springs, CO 91931 – HR Manager, Fort Lauderdale, Florida 92336 – HR Manager, Allentown, PA

All these jobs feature the wording 'Union Avoidance'

This now makes a total ten offending articles to date, which is by no means a oversight but clearly shows T-Mobile USA's anti-union policies.

As I stated on my previous letter on Friday, I am deeply concerned that as we making positive steps to create a socially responsible global agreement between us, that T-Mobile USA are continuing to undermine the global trade union movement.

Yet again, I urge you to take immediate action to resolve this situation and I hope that I will not have to continually write to you on an almost daily basis on this repetitive but important matter for the global trade union movement.

I look forward to an urgent positive response.

Yours sincerely

Philip J Jennings General Secretary
