Havana, Mar 1 (Prensa Latina) Cuban President Fidel Castro met up Frank Tracy Griswold, US Episcopal Church Presiding Bishop, and his accompanying group, Granma daily reports Wednesday.
Griswold, along with his delegation, arrived here February 24 on an invitation from the island´s Episcopal Church.
The meeting went on under a cordial and respectful atmosphere that has always characterized relations between the Cuban government, religious organizations and foreign dignitaries, the newspaper underlines.
Cuba Cracks New US Blow to UN
Havana, Mar 1 (Prensa Latina) Cuba lashed out at a new US blow to the UN and multilateralism, given the North American attempts to obstruct a resolution on the Human Rights Council.
Cuba Slams UN Council Meddling
According to a statement of the Cuban Foreign Affairs Ministry, the UN Human Rights Commission has been discredited after manipulations of the US and its cronies of the European Union.
The US ambassador to the UN said he would vote against any attempt to approve the current content of the proposal on the council.
Cuban Foreign Affairs Ministry officials stated that stance was contradictory, since the document was elaborated behind the scenes with US representatives to meet their demands, which run against those of the majority.
They believe US President George W Bush seeks a council whose members bend to the hegemony of the Empire of the North.

Cuba to Reach 800,000 University Graduates
Havana, Feb 28 (Prensa Latina) In this school year, Cuba will reach the figure of 800,000 university graduates since the Revolution, after scoring the historically highest enrollment in this teaching level.
The island, with its notable developments in teaching and access, surpassed 500,000 university students registered in higher studies, representing over 50 percent of the 18-24 year-old population.
To reach the goal of having one million university graduates by 2010, the Higher Education Ministry has enlarged its national network to 65 central universities and more than 3,000 buildings.
At the recent 5th International Meeting on Higher Education (Universidad 2006), Minister Fernando Vecino Alegret reminded of all the transformations made in academic organization, curriculums, access to knowledge plus learning styles.
Thousands of professionals have become teachers and received the corresponding training to face the highest social inclusion ever seen in Cuba.
